Vietnamese-American Community of Austin Texas (VACAT) is pleased and proud to invite you to our 18th Annual Vietnamese New Year (Tet) Celebration Event for the year of 2017.
Tet is the most important celebration in the
Vietnamese culture. It is an occasion for families and friends to reunite, to cherish the good memory of the past year, to share love and respect
for each other, and to wish each other a great year
ahead.
This year’s Tet Festival of Austin will be held at
the premier Leudecke Arena in the Travis County Exposition Center. With this new venue, we expect to have well over 5,000 visitors from all over Austin as well as the greater surrounding areas. It allows us to have more space for more
vendors, making it more convenient for everyone.
This year's theme will be “The Fire of Youth”. In
an effort to bring the younger members of the community together, to preserve and pass our traditions from one generation to the next, we are trying to bring in more young faces from the
Vietnamese American and all other cultures to the celebration.
For almost 20 years, VACAT has been a strong and
influential voice for the Vietnamese American community in Austin, Texas. With the collaboration of other interest groups, we have provided resources and brought joy to many of our members in the community at large. We need and
ask for your generous support contributing to the success of our
2017 Tet Festival.

Representing 2017 Tet Plannning Committee, I am pleased and proud to announce that 2017 Hội Chợ Tết Cộng đồng will be at Leudecke Arena - Travis Expo Center on Jan 21st, 2017.
With great thanks to the Planning Commitee, we are celebrating our Tet Festival 2017 - Year of the Rooster at the new venue Leudecke Arena that will allow us to accommodate
more visitors, more vendors, more space, & more exciting with two new separate events: Day Festival & Night Gala.
